Problem

Design a wrist-support solution that provides appropriate support while considering comfort, flexibility, fit, and human anatomy.

Objective

Develop an ergonomic wrist-support concept using human-factor measurements, CAD, prototyping, and design iteration.

Engineering Approach

Collected human-factor measurements including wrist circumference, palm dimensions, finger dimensions, and other anatomical measurements.

Evaluated comfort, flexibility, usability, and fit as major design requirements.

Developed design concepts based on engineering criteria.

Used SolidWorks for CAD design.

Used additive manufacturing and 3D printing during prototype development.

Evaluated design iterations and made adjustments based on fit and performance.

My Contribution

Supported measurement collection, design concept development, CAD modeling, prototype evaluation, and documentation.

Results

Created a structured engineering case study ready for CAD screenshots, brace photographs, sketches, design iterations, prototype photographs, and final presentation uploads.
